Where Shall We Meet?
Pivotal Moments in Treatment
It has long been recognized that "something more than interpretation" is needed to mobilize change in the psychoanalytic treatment and that "moments of meeting" between patients and therapists offer powerful transformative experiences. These moments of shared authentic person-to-person engagement between patient and therapist are, more often than not, moments of spontaneity and surprise.
The discussion will explore the mutative potential of these moments through reflection on clinical vignettes.
