The Suffolk Society for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis is a professional organization founded on February 25, 1996 to further psychological and psychoanalytic knowledge. This is accomplished through conferences, workshops and meetings. The Society promotes and encourages ethical standards in the practice of psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, and provides a professional and social opportunity for continued interaction.
Society members, the majority of whom practice on Long Island, can provide a variety of therapies for the treatment of individuals, couples, families and children.
Membership is open to faculty, graduates and candidates of the postgraduate program of the Suffolk Institute for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. Affiliate Membership is open to individuals affiliated with other Psychoanalytic Institutes and/or licensed practitioners with an interest in psychoanalysis.
